    Summer in Toronto is amazing!
Toronto is the most populous city in Canada, and it is known for its live music and arts scene. And as a tourist, you can be exposed to a lot of the vibrant liveliness of the city by visiting a few of the many festivals held throughout the summer in Toronto. Every weekend over the months of June, July, and August – there is something to see, places to visit, culture to celebrate, and foods to taste.
The Taste of Danforth is a food festival wherein you can experience the tastes of Greek, Thai, Indian cuisines, and many more all in one place. The festival is held August 5 – 7 this year (2016). Attendance is FREE (always a plus), and live entertainment is provided.
The live entertainment there, though, is nothing compared to the great entertainment that can be found at the Annex Festival on Bloor. This festival is held one day out of the year – each year – and here is where you can watch theatre performances, live music, speak to local businesses, artists, and vendors. This year, the festival will be taking over Bloor Street on June 26th. Be there or be square because this is something you definitely would not want to miss! And, again, attendance is free.
Another festival that is hosted in Toronto caters to those who love to look out over the water – (Guilty!) This festival is called the Humber Bay Shores Waterfront Festival. It includes a farmer’s market and fun and games for children. Attendance is free and August 6th is the date that you should clear your calenders for.
Other festivals include the Redpath Waterfront Festival, the Waterfront Night Market, and the BIG on Bloor Festival. There’s fun to be had all throughout the summer! For more information on all of these festivals, go to www.toronto.com. All of the information that you need can be found there. So dust off those passports, plane tickets, or clear out your car because Toronto, Canada is the place to be for the summer. Grab a friend and attend some of these events. I know I will! So maybe I’ll see you there.
